Title I: The State
CHAPTER III: CITIZENS

Article 41
Citizenship is suspended for the following reasons:
1. By commitment to prison decreed for a felony;
2. By final conviction imposed for a crime; and
3. By judicially decreed interdiction.

Article 42
Citizenship is lost:
1. For rendering service in time of war to enemies of Honduras or their allies;
2. For aiding, against the State of Honduras, a foreigner or foreign
government in any diplomatic claim or before an international tribunal;
3. For holding employment of a military or political character for a foreign
nation in the country, without permission of the National Congress;
4. For restricting the right to vote, falsifying electoral documents, or using
fraudulent means to defeat the popular will;
5. For inciting, promoting, or abetting the continuation in office or the
reelection of the President of the Republic; and
6. In the case of naturalized Hondurans, for residing outside the country for
more than two consecutive years without prior authorization by the
Executive branch.
In the cases referred to by numbers (1) and (2), the declaration of the loss of
citizenship shall be made by the National Congress on the detailed record prepared
for such a case. For numbers (3) and (6), the declaration shall be made by the
Executive branch through a governmental resolution, and for cases (4) and (5) the
declaration shall also be made by a governmental resolution, based on a prior
conviction by a competent court.

Artículo 70. Todos los hondureños tienen derecho a hacer lo que no perjudique a
otro y nadie estará obligado a hacer lo que no estuviere legalmente prescrito ni impedido de ejecutar lo que la Ley no prohíbe.

Ninguna persona podrá hacerse justicia por sí misma, ni ejercer violencia para reclamar su derecho.

Ningún servicio personal es exigible, ni deberá prestarse gratuitamente, sino en virtud de ley o de sentencia fundada en la Ley.

Rome Statute

Article 77 Applicable penalties

1. Subject to article 110, the Court may impose one of the following penalties on a person convicted of a crime referred to in article 5 of this Statute:

(a) Imprisonment for a specified number of years, which may not exceed a maximum of 30 years; or

(b) A term of life imprisonment when justified by the extreme gravity of the crime and the individual circumstances of the convicted person.

2. In addition to imprisonment, the Court may order:

(a) A fine under the criteria provided for in the Rules of Procedure and Evidence;

(b) A forfeiture of proceeds, property and assets derived directly or indirectly from that crime, without prejudice to the rights of bona fide third parties.
