10. Where there are reasonable grounds to believe that a thing is in a Commonwealth country and would, if produced, be relevant to any criminal matter, a request may be transmitted requesting the country to assist in obtaining that thing, by search and seizure if necessary.

29. (2) Where this section applies, the central authority shall give the Commissioner of Police written authorisation to apply to a magistrate for a search warrant in respect of the thing, unless that thing is otherwise lawfully obtained.

(3) Upon the authorisation being issued under subsection (2), the Commissioner of Police or any police constable may apply for the issue of a warrant to search and seize the thing concerned to a magistrate having jurisdiction in the area where that thing is believed to be located.

(5) The central authority for Guyana shall provide such certification as may be requested by the central authority for the requesting country concerning the result of a search, the place and circumstances of any seizure, and the subsequent custody of anything seized.
