51. Request for legal assistance not to cover arrest or extradition
Nothing in this Act shall be construed as authorizing the extradition, or the arrest or detention with a view to extradition of any person.
21. (1) Torture is an extraditable offence.
(2) A person shall not be expelled, returned or extradited to another country where there is reason to believe that the person is in danger of being subjected to torture or cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment or punishment.
For the purposes of this Statute:
(b) "extradition" means the delivering up of a person by one State to another as provided by treaty, convention or national legislation.
