''Article 1 Mass murder''
Anyone who commits genocide shall be imprisoned for not less than five years or for life.
The following acts are considered genocide when committed with the aim of eliminating all or part of a nation, ethnic group, race or religion as such:
a. to kill individuals from the relevant group,
b. to cause serious physical or mental harm to persons in the group concerned,
c. to intentionally force the group in question to create living conditions aimed at the physical destruction of the group or part of it,
d. to apply coercive measures aimed at preventing childbirth in the group,
e. to forcibly transfer children from one group to another.
Anyone who directly encourages others in public to commit genocide should be sentenced to life in prison.
1. The jurisdiction of the Court shall be limited to the most serious crimes of concern to the international community as a whole. The Court has jurisdiction in accordance with this Statute with respect to the following crimes:
(a) The crime of genocide;
