Antigua and Barbuda - Prisoners of War Act 1902 EN

1. Short title.

This Act may be cited as the Prisoners of War Act.

2. Interpretation.

"Prisoner of war" as used in this Act shall include any convicted prisoner sent to Antigua and Barbuda from any other part of Her Majesty's Dominions in the custody of Her Majesty's land or sea forces, while such prisoner is in Antigua and Barbuda, and whether such prisoner be in actual custody or escaping or endeavouring to escape or has escaped from custody.

Article 12 Preconditions to the exercise of jurisdiction

2. In the case of article 13, paragraph (a) or (c), the Court may exercise its jurisdiction if one or more of the following States are Parties to this Statute or have accepted the jurisdiction of the Court in accordance with paragraph 3:

(a) The State on the territory of which the conduct in question occurred or, if the crime was committed on board a vessel or aircraft, the State of registration of that vessel or aircraft;
