The use of any illegal method to influence the accused and extract an admission38 is not permitted. Mistreatment, threats, injury, enticement, promises, psychological influence or use of drugs or intoxicants are considered illegal methods.

The accused attends the court room without restraint or handcuffs and the court must use necessary means to ensure the security of the court room.
1. In respect of an investigation under this Statute, a person:
