Interpretative Statement

1. The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste expresses its intention to exercise, in compliance with the constitutional rules and all other national criminal legislation, jurisdiction over people found within its national territory, who have been indicted for crimes provided for in subsection 5.1 of the Statute.

Interpretative Statement

2. The Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste declares, in accordance with and for the purposes of subsection 87.2 of the Statute, that requests for cooperation and any documents supporting the request shall either be in or be accompanied by a translation into the Portuguese language.

Article 86 General obligation to cooperate

States Parties shall, in accordance with the provisions of this Statute, cooperate fully with the Court in its investigation and prosecution of crimes within the jurisdiction of the Court.
