Section 3: Communication with the Court
Art. 12 Costs
1 Requests of the Court shall as a rule be executed free of charge. Exceptions are:
a. costs associated with the travel and security of witnesses and experts or the transfer of persons in custody under article 93 of the Statute ;
b. costs of translation, interpretation, and transcription;
c. travel and subsistence costs of the Judges, the Prosecutor, the Deputy Prosecutors, the following consultations, any extraordinary costs that may result from the execution of a Registrar, the Deputy Registrar, and staff of any organ of the Court;
d. costs of expert opinions or reports requested by the Court;
e. costs associated with the transport of a person being surrendered to the Court;
f. following consultations, any extraordinary costs that may result from the execution of a request.
2 Federal and cantonal authorities shall not bill each other for charges or compensation for labor arising from the execution of a request of the Court.
3 Costs associated with detention ordered by the Central Authority and, if applicable, costs of the public defender are charged to the Confederation. The corresponding rates of the Court for compensation of the host State (art. 3 para. 1 of the Statute) are used as the basis of assessment.
CHAPTER III: SURRENDER OF PERSONS BEING PROSECUTED AND OF PERSONS CONVICTED BY THE COURT

Art. 28 Costs
Personal property of the person being prosecuted may be used to cover Swiss costs, to the extent the property is not to be transmitted to the Court.
CHAPTER V: ENFORCEMENT OF PENALTIES OF THE COURT
SECTION I: SENTENCING DECISIONS
Art. 57 Costs
1 The Court shall be responsible for transportation costs as well as the costs specified in article 100 paragraph 1 subparagraphs c-e of the Statute.
2 The federal government shall be responsible for the remaining costs of the execution of sentences. The costs of detention shall be calculated on the basis of the rates for enforcement agreed upon between the Court and the host State in accordance with article 103 paragraph 4 of the Statute.
1. Los gastos ordinarios que se deriven del cumplimiento de las solicitudes en el territorio del Estado requerido correrán a cargo de éste, con excepción de los siguientes, que correrán a cargo de la Corte:
(a) Gastos relacionados con el viaje y la seguridad de los testigos y peritos, o el traslado, con arreglo al artículo 93, de personas detenidas;
(b) Gastos de traducción, interpretación y transcripción;
(c) Gastos de viaje y dietas de los magistrados, el fiscal, los fiscales adjuntos, el secretario, el secretario adjunto y los funcionarios de cualquier órgano de la Corte;
(d) Costo de los informes o dictámenes periciales solicitados por la Corte;
(e) Gastos relacionados con el transporte de la persona que entregue a la Corte un Estado de detención; y
(f) Previa consulta, todos los gastos extraordinarios que puedan ser resultado del cumplimiento de una solicitud.
2. Las disposiciones del párrafo 1 serán aplicables, según proceda, a las solicitudes hechas por los Estados Partes a la Corte. En ese caso, los gastos ordinarios que se deriven de su cumplimiento correrán a cargo de la Corte.
